Spring came early this year

Yes, Spring came early to my hometown this year. Though we enjoyed one of the mildest winters in our collective memories, just about every Central Ohio resident was ready for Spring and truly appreciated its earlier-than-usual arrival.  It seemed fitting that our beautiful feathered-friend shown above would noisily greet us on St. Patrick's Day.  This cardinal sat in the bush just outside my window and relentlessly teased Callie the Cat who patiently sat on my window sill... contemplating how she might be able to shred the screen which separated her from this brightly-colored chattering song bird. Thank You dear Lord for granting us this beautiful day and for sharing the beauty of Your Creation with us.

Buffalo Gals

HUNTING FOR BISON

There is now a herd of bison residing at Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park near Columbus Ohio.  Central Ohio residents are oh-so-grateful to be able to view these bison in a natural prairie-like setting. It is even better than seeing them at the world famous Columbus Zoo ... or having to travel all the way to Yellowstone National Park just to get close to these magnificent animals. At the present time there are just six (6) bison at this location... and all of them are females. Some day in the near future, when a male bison is finally allowed to join these six ladies out on the prairie, he just might be inspired to sing...
